NChain senior researcher and self-proclaimed Satoshi Nakamoto Craig Wright sued honor and dignity for the founder and head of Bitcoin.com, Roger Vera, also known as Bitcoin-Jesus. The plaintiff is convinced that Ver slandered him in a video that was subsequently removed from Youtube, calling him a liar and a fraud. Reported Decrypt Media .

Ver himself said that he would defend himself and, probably, will publish another video with similar charges.

“It annoys me that I have to spend money on lawyers instead of developing useful tools, but I don’t worry at all ,” he stressed.

The CEO of Bitcoin.com also criticized Wright’s strategy, which involves filing multiple lawsuits against those who do not recognize him as the creator of Bitcoin and are called a liar. He is convinced that this causes significant damage to the Bitcoin SV project, which has been delisted at several large trading floors, including Binance, Kraken and ShapeShift. However, Ver himself does not believe that such a community response to Wright’s actions was necessarily correct.

“If people want to trade Bitcoin SV, then they need to be given such an opportunity, but if you sue everyone around you, then it will be very difficult for you to find friends,” added Bitcoin-Jesus.

Recall that the conflict between Vera and Wright flared up in the summer of 2018 against the background of contradictions in the Bitcoin Cash community in the context of the code implementation of the protocol. So, the first supported the traditional version of Bitcoin ABC, and the second introduced an alternative – Bitcoin SV. The standoff ended with a hardfork Bitcoin Cash in November last year and the subsequent hashrate war .

Earlier, Craig Wright filed a similar lawsuit against the leading known podcast about Bitcoin, Peter McCormack, demanding 100,000 pounds in damages.

However, the greatest indignation of the community caused the decision of a senior researcher nChain to sue Twitter user Hodlonaut . He offered $ 5000 in BSV-equivalent for any information about the person’s identity, and also disclosed personal data of the critic that he knows. This was the reason for the peculiar blockade of Bitcoin SV.
