The remaining 5786 BTC (~ $ 35 million) for some time were intact on the purses to which the coins were originally transferred. After some time, the attacker from this amount sent 1227 BTC to two new addresses. 707 BTC were transferred to one of them, 520 BTC to the other.

According to the journalist and blockchain analyst Amy Castor, acting in this way, hackers are trying to cover their tracks.
