Coinbase, the largest US cryptocurrency company, is negotiating the purchase of the Omni rental business p2p platform. This was reported by TechCrunch with reference to informed sources.
Omni offers users the opportunity to rent various physical goods. Despite the $ 25 million raised last year from Ripple, the startup is currently going through difficult times and is forced to cut staff. In May, Omni sold its warehouse business to Clutter, supported by SoftBank.
Coinbase is interested in buying a startup and attracting its participants to the Coinbase Earn project, which offers users to earn cryptocurrency by completing training tasks. However, the American company has not yet officially confirmed information about the upcoming deal.
Recall, recently, the Coinbase Pro exchange raised trading commissions by 233% , causing user outrage.
