The leading US cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase and Ripple are no longer in the top 10 US startups according to the LinkedIn service, an updated list of which was published on the website of this social network.
So, now Coinbase and Ripple occupy the 29th and 28th places of the rating, respectively. Last year, the bitcoin exchange was third on the list, and the issuer of digital currency XRP was seventh.
It is worth noting that Coinbase and Ripple can no longer be involved in this rating, since one of the selection criteria is the fact that companies should be no more than seven years old. Both companies were founded in 2012.
In addition to this requirement, to be included in the LinkedIn rating, a company must have at least 50 employees, be privately owned and have headquarters in the United States.
LinkedIn evaluates the popularity of American startups by analyzing their effectiveness in four categories: employee growth, job seeker interest, interaction with the company and its employees.
Snowflake Computing, a startup developing cloud-based storage solutions, took first place this year.
Fintech company Robinhood Markets, which is the mobile app operator for trading stocks and cryptocurrencies Robinhood, took seventh place in the rating.
In addition, this year, the Plaid startup has appeared on the LinkedIn list, providing services to cryptocurrency companies, including Coinbase and the Abra wallet provider.
Recall that in the winter, LinkedIn published a report on dynamically developing professions, which states that in just a year, the number of vacancies for blockchain-related professions grew 33 times in the United States.
