
Starting August 30, quotes from the Gemini Winklevoss brothers bitcoin exchange will be used to calculate four cryptocurrency indices from the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME Group).

So, we are talking about the CME CF Bitcoin Reference Rate (BRR) and CME CF Bitcoin Real-Time Index (BRTI), which were launched back in 2016, as well as the CME CF Ether-Dollar Reference Rate (ETHUSD_RR) and CME CF Ether Real Time Index (ETHUSD_RTI).
The CME also tracks the quotes of the Bitstamp, Coinbase, itBit and Kraken platforms, however Coinbase data is not used to calculate indices for Ethereum.
Recall that in July, CME began tracking data on itBit.
