Boeing joins Hedera Hashgraph

The largest aerospace concern Boeing joined the governing board of the corporate blockchain network Hedera Hashgraph. According to CoinDesk , the company became the tenth member of the board, joining FIS Global, Tata Communications, Nomura Holdings, IBM and its other members.

The project solution allows for micropayments, storing files in a distributed network, supports smart contracts and the ability to connect private networks to public ones. The company raised $ 124 million for this development through three rounds of financing through the sale of simple agreements on future HBAR tokens.

The launch of the beta version of the main network of Hedera Hashgraph is scheduled for September 16. According to the developers, at this stage, Hedera will be able to process 10,000 transactions per second.

Along with the launch of the main network, the distribution of HBAR tokens starts, which will last 15 years. The first to receive them are about a thousand investors.

It is expected that after the opening of the main network, the members of the Governing Council will be able to join it as nodes and use the Hedera consensus service to connect their private networks to public ones.

Recall that the governing council was formed in February from several persons on the Fortune 500 list to track changes in the Hedera Hashgraph network software.
