Blockstream updated block browser for Bitcoin and sidechain network Liquid

The Blockstream company has introduced an updated block browser for the Bitcoin network and Sidechain Liquid.

According to company representatives, the new version of the service has improved performance, eliminated some limitations and added various functions.

In particular, Blockstream Explorer now supports searching for addresses with an unlimited number of transactions. Also, the browser is available for users who disable JavaScript in the browser to increase the degree of privacy.

Besides:

– statistics has been improved and detailed, which now better corresponds to the UTXO-model;
– the ability to scan a QR code via a web browser has been added;
– Updated API documentation .

Note that the developers initially planned to make the browser only for the sidechain Liquid , but then decided to implement the solution for the Bitcoin network, adding native support for the SegWit protocol and the address format bech32. Also Blockstream Explorer supports test bitcoin.

The tool is compatible with Confidential Transactions in Liquid and allows you to track Bitcoin addresses to which sidechain transactions are tied. To enhance the privacy of users added support for Tor.

Recall, Blockstream recently introduced the Proof of Reserves tool , with which cryptocurrency exchanges can confirm their solvency.
