The BitMax cryptocurrency exchange temporarily stopped trading for some users due to interruptions in the operation of Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud services observed this morning.

“Due to abnormal market fluctuations, BitMax temporarily suspended trading services for accounts that participated in the auction on August 23 from 01:00 to 03:30 EDT,” representatives of the site said.
It is expected that trading on these accounts will be resumed after confirmation and follow-up.
Outages in AWS have caused a strong fluctuation in the prices of cryptocurrencies on some exchanges. So, on one of the trading floors, the price of bitcoin was $ 0.32-0.35.
On BitMax, Bitcoin dropped to $ 8520, while the Ethereum rate collapsed to $ 0.33 at one point.
We will remind, earlier on the possible interruptions in the withdrawal of funds amid problems with AWS , the Binance and KuCoin trading platforms announced.
