A new ERC-20 standard token called Wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC) has been launched on the Ethereum blockchain. This is a steyblecoin, which, it is claimed, is fully endowed with bitcoin.

At the launch of the project , companies like Kyber Network, Republic Protocol and BitGo accepted. In total, WBTC has 26 partners and 15 decentralized autonomous organizations (DAO).

The WBTC Token is designed to provide greater liquidity in the Ethereum ecosystem, including decentralized exchanges and financial applications. It is expected that it will have many different applications – from using in payments, to creating flexible smart contacts.

Stablebcoin WBTC uses atomic swap technology to conduct cryptocurrency transactions. For example, Ethereum users, after undergoing AML / KYC procedures, will be able to request WBTC from certified merchants.
