Bitfinex Bitcoin Exchange went on unplanned technical work

Bitfinex Cryptocurrency Exchange announced the suspension of trading and the beginning of unplanned technical work. It happened at 12:17 UTC.

We are undergoing unscheduled maintenance with trading temporarily halted. All wallets remain unaffected and they are available. Thank you for your patience.

In less than two hours, the problem was discovered and at the time of writing the technical team of the exchange is working to fix it.

At the same time, Bitfinex representatives assured users that all funds are safe.

The problem was solved.

Earlier, the State Prosecutor’s Office of New York made new accusations against Bitfinex – this time the agency said that UNUS SED LEO tokens may be unregistered securities.
