The popular BitMex derivatives trading platform BitMex has begun to work with the Rain cryptocurrency exchange from Bahrain.
The corresponding message on Twitter posted today the head of BitMex Arthur Hayes.

“The presence of BitMex is expanding. I am extremely pleased to start working with Rain, ” he wrote.
Representatives of Rain, in turn, noted that a partnership with BitMex will help the Middle East become one of the largest cryptocurrency markets in the world.
Recall that in August Rain closed the seed investment round, in which it managed to raise $ 2.5 million. The main investor was the investment division of BitMEX Ventures.
Other investors include the Kuwait Blockwater Cryptocurrency Fund, renowned bitcoin developer Jimmy Song, and Cumberland Mining founder Mike Komarnsky.
Representatives of the site also claim to be the first exchange in the Middle East to receive a license from the central bank of Bahrain. Before that, Rain tested its services in the regulatory sandbox for two years.
It was previously reported that since the beginning of the year, the number of bitcoins in the insurance fund of the BitMEX crypto derivative exchange has grown by more than half, reaching 31,300 BTC.
