An employee of the All-Russian Research Institute of Experimental Physics Andrei Rybkin, accused of mining cryptocurrency at the workplace, was sentenced to 3 years and 3 months in prison and a fine of about 200 thousand rubles.

According to Interfax, citing the press service of the Sarov Court, Rybkin was charged with three articles at once: unlawful access to computer information using his official position, violation of the rules for its storage and use and distribution of computer viruses.

Recall that there were three persons involved in the mining case on the Sarov supercomputer. In September, one of them, Denis Baykov, the court imposed a fine of 450 thousand rubles and forbade working in the public service and in local government for 2.5 years.

The second defendant, Andrei Shatokhin, was sentenced to 4 years probation and a fine of 250 thousand rubles.
