Bitcoin and the Facebook-announced Libra coin are most popular among Twitter users in the United States. This is evidenced by research data cryptocurrency platform The TIE.

In particular, almost 39% of all Bitcoin entries on Twitter are made by users from the USA. They are followed by the United Kingdom, Canada, Turkey, India and Australia.

On average, according to the study, Bitcoin is most positive in Peru, Malaysia and Indonesia. The largest number of records with a negative tint in relation to the first cryptocurrency analysts found in Mexico, Estonia, Brazil and Ireland.

It is noteworthy that Venezuela is the leader in the Bitcoin list of “haters”, where cryptocurrencies are quite popular – 62% of Twitter posts from users of this country express a negative attitude towards it.

In general, the world is quite positive in relation to the first cryptocurrency – as the study showed, almost 60% of tweets show a positive assessment.

The platform also examined the attitudes of Twitter users towards Facebook’s recently announced cryptocurrency initiative.

So, at the moment Libra is even more popular in the US than Bitcoin – 43.8% of the entries are devoted to the largest social network in the world. She is also very interested in the UK, France and Australia.

However, on the whole, Twitter users are quite skeptical about Libra – 54.8% are negative.

"The largest number of positive tweets about Libra in the UK, and much less positively located to it in the United States and France – countries where the coin has been criticized by regulators," the researchers emphasize.

Recall, according to a study of the bitFlyer exchange, EU residents are confident in the future of cryptocurrency, but not Bitcoin.
