The P2P exchange for the sale and purchase of Bitcoin Hodl Hodl will open the source code. This will allow everyone to create their own P2P trading platform. This was stated by CTO Roman Snitko during the Baltic Honeybadger conference.
Reasons for the decision:
- projects are closed and the code is lost;
- Developing an exchange from scratch is a very expensive task;
- everyone has the right to manage the exchange;
- Hodl Hodl code tested for vulnerabilities in the field;
- debugged user interface with support for many languages.
“We are developers, we love code. We are not killers from regulators. We do not like KYC / AML. ”
This decision, Snitko added, was the answer to the question of how Hodl Hodl will remain a non-custodian exchange when everyone around is subject to regulators.
“The code is open. Adjust anything. No one can order code. ”
What language is Hodl Hodl written in. The backend is written in Ruby, the frontend is in JavaScript. Parts are on Dart.
When they open the code. More likely by the end of the year. Developers need to clean it.
Who can use the code. Hodl Hodl will distribute the code under an opensource license. Anyone can create an exchange.
Snitko also introduced an API with multi-signature support for the automatic implementation of Bitcoin and the Lightning Network in any application.
