The court of the Southern District of New York decided to recover from the founders of the Bitcoin Exchange Gemini Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss $ 45,000 in favor of businessman Charlie Shrem. This is evidenced by a court decision of February 7.

In this amount, Shrem estimated the legal costs incurred in seeking to cancel the freeze of his assets.

Recall that the Winklevossians accuse Shrem of misappropriation of 5,000 bitcoins , which they did not receive in 2012 during a transaction with an entrepreneur.

They were also interested in a number of expensive purchases that the entrepreneur made after his release from prison.

The brothers demanded to block assets in the amount of 5000 BTC on Shrem's accounts. However, the court rejected this requirement, since none of the accounts of the entrepreneur had such a sum .

A further hearing is expected in June.
