Ukrainian authorities plan to legalize cryptocurrency and mining for taxation

The Ukrainian government, which in the past did not show much sympathy for cryptocurrencies , looked at them from a different angle and realized that good taxes can come from this industry, but crypts must be legalized for this.
The Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine plans to legalize Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. The corresponding initiative came from the current head of the Ministry of Digital Affairs, Mikhail Fedorov, writes Liga.Net with reference to the statement of Alexander Bornyakov, who will be appointed one of the deputy ministers.
He stressed that although cryptocurrencies are not prohibited in Ukraine, they also do not have an official status. Legalization is necessary, among other things, in order, for example, to protect business from searches.
“People who are involved in this [cryptocurrency] should get out of the gray zone and start paying taxes, ” said Alexander Bornyakov during the presentation of the state’s brand in a smartphone.
As noted, the Ukrainian authorities want to “earn mining ” and in the future, the state could “earn from cryptocurrency traders.”
It is also planned to transfer state registries to the blockchain .
The Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine himself said in an interview with Ukrainian Truth that his key task is to turn the state into a service.
“I want to turn the state into a simple service, as convenient and inconspicuous as possible. So that when you interact with the state, you feel comfortable, just like you order Uber, book a room on Booking or Airbnb. So that service is just a simple tool for you, and you don’t feel any destructive emotions and thoughts , ”said Mikhail Fedorov.
Recall that earlier in September in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine an inter-factional parliamentary group Blockchain4Ukraine was created, whose goal is the introduction of blockchain technology in the state structures of the country.
