The NEO network is waiting for an update and change in the mechanism for calculating commissions
The digital asset platform NEO announced the upcoming network upgrade, after which all consensus-supporting nodes should upgrade to client version neo-cli v2.10.2.
As stated in the blog developers, the update will take place next Monday, June 3, at 09:00 GMT.

The new version of the protocol supports an optimized consensus algorithm dBFT2.0. In addition, to improve the stability of the network, changes will be made to the mechanism of transactional commissions. In particular, in order to avoid fraud for large transactions – more than 1024 bytes – commissions will be calculated based on their size. These changes will not apply to standard transactions of ordinary users – their commission will be 0.001 GAS.
It is also reported that users using the remote procedure call feature will be able to set a maximum limit on the size of the charged commission. In this case, if the current value of the network exceeds the specified parameter, such transactions will not be transmitted.
The developers recommend that all exchanges upgrade their customers in advance to the current version, and service providers be ready to work with the new mechanism for calculating commissions. At the same time, no additional action is required from the NEO holders.
Recall that in late April, NEO co-founder Eric Jean announced the launch of the third version of the protocol. Work on NEO 3.0 will be completed by the second quarter of 2020, the launch of the test network is scheduled for June.
