The adoption of laws on cryptocurrency and blockchain priority task for the State Duma of the Russian Federation

Russian parliamentarians have set themselves the task of adopting bills on the digital economy as a matter of priority. About this in an interview with the TV channel "Russia 24" said State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin.

He stressed that there are now more than a thousand different bills in the portfolio of parliament that need to be adopted as soon as possible. However, among them are the most important documents, including bills on the digitalization of the Russian economy, which need to be given special attention.

Volodin noted :

In our legislative portfolio are 1337 draft laws, about 234 of them have already been adopted during the first reading.

From the list of bills on the digitalization of the economy, parliamentarian singled out documents

• “On digital financial assets”,
• “On Digital Rights”,
• "About crowdfunding."

The Speaker of the State Duma promised to speed up the work on the adoption of these laws, because without a proper regulatory framework, the development of the cryptocurrency industry in our country will be difficult.

The presidential administration is already rushing parliamentarians. For example, presidential aide Andrei Belousov believes that the speedy adoption of laws on digital currency and smart contracts will allow the blockchain industry to be removed from the shadows and lay the foundation for the emergence of startups specializing in launching products for the cryptosphere.
