A group of Russian deputies submitted to the State Duma a draft law on blocking websites violating legislation in the field of finance, in particular, advertising financial pyramids. The project was developed on behalf of the President of the Russian Federation, reports Medusa.

According to the document, the Central Bank will be able to send demands to Roskomnadzor about locking resources, offering financial services without a license or using domains that are similar to the websites of banks to deceive.

In addition, the Central Bank will be able to contact the Moscow City Court for pre-trial blocking of sites if the resource contains information about unauthorized access to the banks' servers.

Alexander Zhuravlev, co-founder of the Blockchain Lawyers program of additional education, believes that this bill may also affect cryptobugs, in particular, scam ICOs.

“The Bank of Russia has been waging a long enough struggle to clear the market of pseudo-credit organizations and financial pyramids. If we transfer this to possible ICO-projects that do not fulfill their obligations, then the Central Bank will also have the right to request the blocking of these sites, ”he said.

Earlier, the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation re-classified cryptocurrency as “other property”.
