13% of Russians pay for online purchases using cryptocurrency. This is evidenced by the results of a survey among 924 respondents conducted on the initiative of Kaspersky Lab.
According to the survey, 88% of Russians prefer to pay for purchases on the Internet by credit card, 76% use payment systems or online wallets. 38% of respondents choose contactless payment methods, and, finally, 13% pay for purchases using cryptocurrency.
“Almost half of users in Russia cannot easily make online payments because they don’t feel that their money is securely protected, ” said Oleg Goodilin , head of marketing at Kaspersky Lab in Russia, the South Caucasus and Central Asia.
Survey data also showed that in case of theft of devices, 59% of users would be most worried about the loss of financial data, and not about personal or work files.
Note, according to a study of the Yandex.Money service and the Moscow Department of Information Technology, 1% of Muscovites pay for purchases by bitcoins.
