The developers of Opera Software have announced a public release of the Opera browser for Android devices, which has a built-in Ethereum wallet and is “ready for Web 3.0.” The corresponding statement was made on Thursday during the Hard Fork Decentralized conference in London.

First introduced in July to beta today, the new mobile browser supports not only ETH, but also ERC-20 and ERC-721 tokens, as well as decentralized applications (Dapps), which can be accessed directly wallet

Opera for Android is now shipped with a built-in crypto wallet, supporting #Ethereum and # Web3 . Launching today at @tnw @HardFork Decentralized! ?

The developers also state that the new product is fully ready for Web 3.0 – the concept of Internet technology development, which was formulated by Netscape manager Jason Calacanis in continuation of the Web 2.0 concept Tim O'Reilly. Its essence is that Web 2.0 is only a technology platform, while Web 3.0 will allow professionals to create high-quality content and services based on it.

“Until now, the use of cryptocurrency and access to Web 3.0 required special applications or extensions, making it difficult to even try to test all this. Our new browser eliminates this interference, ” Charles Hamel, product manager of Opera Crypto, wrote on the company's blog.

The company says it decided to start supporting Ethereum , since this platform has the largest and fastest growing community of developers of decentralized applications.

“Opera with a built-in cryptocurrency wallet supports the Ethereum Web3 API, making interaction with these Dapps unobstructed. We believe that in the future all browsers will integrate a particular wallet, as a result of which new business models will appear on the network , ”writes Charles Hamel.

Access to the Ethereum blockchain will be received through the Infura infrastructure platform, among which ConsenSys is among the investors.
