McLaren Steps Into The Metaverse And Launches MSO LAB

McLaren announces its launch into the metaverse as the MSO lab is set to launch the first in a series of ultra-exclusive NFT drops on the 11th of May 2022.

McLaren proclaims that from inception it has always strived to push the limits, bringing together the best in engineering and design to propel advancement through performance. Now the brand is propelled forward into the Web3 era by this pioneering mentality.

The team also remarked on Twitter that the McLaren Special Operations, McLaren’s bespoke division, has always sat at the extreme edge; combining performance, innovation, and craft to deliver the ‘art of the possible’.

The first chapter of McLaren’s ambitious metaverse roadmap is MSO LAB, which will investigate the future of performance in the digital domain.

The first of a series of ultra-exclusive NFT drops, set to drop on 11.05.22, will provide this vision to a wider audience than ever before. Membership in the MSO LAB community will be granted, as well as an ever-evolving set of advantages that will open up new vistas of access and experience.

How Users Can Buy McLaren NFT

Their announcement addressed how the users can buy the yet-to-be-released NFT. 

The first NFT Collection will be available via an invite-only model. Those who own a physical McLaren Automotive car and are signed up to the McLaren Automotive mailing list will gain immediate access to Phase 1, with Phase 2 access opening to specially invited individuals 48  hours later. McLaren Automotive NFTs follow the ERC-721 standard and will be minted on the Ethereum blockchain.  At the time of minting, the user will be able to select what wallet address the NFTs will be minted too. 

Once those who have been invited are registered for the allowlist, you’ll be sent a unique code along with instructions on how to access the marketplace. This is where you can buy McLaren Automotive NFTs once the Collection goes live.

Any digital material, including photographs, videos, audio, and even virtual real estate, can have NFTs linked to it.
