It is reported that the South Korean electronic giant LG is working with blockchain developers to launch a rival smartphone Samsung Klaytn.

It is assumed that LG has already held discussions with local developers of decentralized applications (DApp) and have chosen the option of using their future product.

This news came a week after the publication that the Korean messaging service Kakao Corp is preparing to deploy the blockchain on the upcoming Samsung Note 10 smartphone.

Known as the Klaytn Phone, the device will be provided with a wallet that supports the KLAY token , developed by third-party operator Kakao GroundX.

LG’s move in the same vein is a logical development in a highly competitive consumer market.

“I think that Samsung is trying to offer something new at the expense of the blockchain, as when releasing a foldable phone, the Samsung Galaxy LG responded with a double screen,” local media write.

The prospects for introducing LG’s new offer on the international market remains open to question, but it’s known that the Klaytn phone will only be available on the domestic market in South Korea.

Over the weekend, the creators of the world's first blockchain-oriented Finney smartphone announced that the device will appear in Bangladesh soon.
