Presto blockchain startup will challenge the decision of the Financial Services Commission of South Korea (FSC) to ban any form of primary coin offers (ICO). Representatives of the company are confident that the ban is contrary to constitutional norms, reports Sedaily .
“As a blockchain start-up, we faced many difficulties due to the ICO ban and the authorities’s inaction in creating a regulatory framework. We want the court to consider the constitutionality of the absence of legislation , ”said Kan Ken-Won, CEO of Presto.
Presto believes that the government violated the right of citizens to the freedom of choice of profession, ownership of property and equality, as well as introduced basic restrictions without legal grounds.
Recall, the South Korean authorities are considering the introduction of taxes on income from cryptocurrency.
