Based in Las Vegas, Hosho laid off more than 30 employees, reducing staff numbers by 80%. It is reported by CoinDesk .

The company claims that in the 17 months of its existence Hosho conducted an audit of so many smart contracts that any other firm from the blockchain industry could hardly make.

“In conducting an audit of the ICO set, we thought that we were going to go to the Moon ,” said co-founder and head of Hosho, Sonta Hartoge.

According to him, restructuring is a necessary measure necessary to survive until the demand for an audit of smart contracts increases again.

The head of Hosho noted that employees from the United States are too expensive. Now the company is looking at technically savvy personnel from Ukraine. Hosho also plans to enter the Asian markets with its services.

Note that in recent times, staff reduction has become a global trend for the cryptoindustry. For example, recently the staff at the ShapeShift exchanger, the Nebulas project and the Coinsquare exchange has significantly reduced. According to some reports, the cuts threaten employees of the startup ConsenSys and mining giant Bitmain .
