As noted in the message exchange, Litecoin listing took place after obtaining the appropriate permission from the Financial Services Authority of New York (NYDFS).
Litecoin became the fourth cryptocurrency, which will now trade on Gemini, making a company of Bitcoin, Ethereum and Zcash, in pairs to which trading will take place.
Recall that the upcoming appearance of Litecoin on Gemini became known in September during the Litecoin Summit in San Francisco. As representatives of the Litecoin Foundation noted then, October 13 is also considered the birthday of LTC.
Note that in his notes, Gemini Vice President Eric Weiner noted that the exchange was also considering the option of adding Bitcoin Cash, but the uncertainty associated with the hardfork of this cryptocurrency coming up in mid-November made it temporarily postpone these plans.
