One of the largest manufacturers of Asus video cards will provide owners of its gaming video cards with the use of unused power for mining cryptocurrencies .

To do this, Asus entered into a strategic partnership with Quantumcloud, the application of which will allow gamers to connect to cloud mining when the power of the video card is not used for other demanding tasks. The reward for the extraction of cryptocurrency will be paid via PayPal or WeChat.

Asus in a press release specifically stressed that the confidentiality of the data of customers of the application Quantumcloud is protected in accordance with the Regulations on General Data Protection (GDPR).

However, using the application does not guarantee income, the company warned :

“Users must take into account their own costs, such as electricity, and make their own judgments about how to use Quantumcloud software. Interest rates may vary depending on the performance of the cryptocurrency market and cannot be guaranteed by Quantumcloud. ”

Recall that two global manufacturers of graphics processors for video cards – Nvidia and Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) – in recent months have recorded a decline in demand for products intended for mining. And according to the company Susquehanna, the profitability of GPU mining Ethereum approached zero .
