Bitcoin-exchange CEX.io announced its intention to return the support of the seventh capitalization of Litecoin crypto currency.

In February 2017, the exchange withdrew LTC from the auction, motivating this decision "low activity" of users, but now declares its readiness to provide new opportunities and upgrade the platform.

"Since then, the demand for LTC trades has grown significantly, we are ready to add Litecoin and plan to create an active market in pairs of LTC / BTC and LTC / USD," CEX.io said.

It is also noted that now the exchange has a new improved infrastructure with multisig-purses and an optimized trading process. The exact date of adding LTC is not named, however at the initial stage trades in the pair LTC / BTC will go with zero commissions.

According to CoinMarketCap, the trading volume on CEX.io last week amounted to $ 9.5 million. The most active trades were fixed in pairs BTC / USD, XRP / USD, BTC / EUR and XLM / USD.

Recall, in September, the plans to add Litecoin also reported based in New York stock exchange Gemini.
