TON Labs, the developer of the infrastructure for the Telegram Open Network ecosystem, has announced the public launch of TON Labs Node Startup Edition, a complete set of development tools for the TON blockchain. This edition of BlockchainJournal was reported by company representatives.
According to the developers, the source code of the TON blockchain, published on September 6, is an implementation of the Proof-of-Stake algorithm with sharding from Telegram.
TON Labs Node SE contains five components:
- TON Compiler Kit – allows you to compile TON smart contracts from the source code of Solidity and LLVM-compatible languages. Blockchain developers can use their current programming skills to create TON smart contracts in C language. They can also transfer TON code from their previous Ethereum projects with minor changes.
- TON Labs Node – allows you to debug and test smart contracts in a controlled environment using your own implementation of the TON node in the Rust language.
- TON Client Libraries is an open standard for connecting applications to TON.
- TON Labs SDK CLI Tool is a command line tool to simplify application development.
- TON Developer Documentation – Teaches how to develop and interact with smart contracts through an internal library.
The TON client library contains several modules:
- Crypto – TON-related cryptography features.
- Contracts – Deploy and manage TON smart contracts.
- Requests – information stored in the TON blockchain, as well as monitoring requests in real time.
According to the CEO of TON Labs, Alexander Filatov, over the past months, developers have conducted a security audit, tests and debugging of various components of the TON blockchain.
“TON Labs uses about 10% of its current test network power with a full node and validators. At the moment, stability and performance look very promising. We will provide all the necessary engineering resources to launch the TON Blockchain in October, ” he said.
Earlier in September, TON developers introduced software for nodes and a block explorer for a test network.
