The Malaysian Securities Commission has registered three cryptocurrency trading platforms at once – Luno Malaysia, Sinegy Technologies and Tokenize Technology. This was reported in the regulator's press release .
It is noteworthy that these platforms were the first cryptocurrency exchanges, officially registered in Malaysia.
Now the exchanges must, within nine months, bring their systems and documentation in accordance with the requirements of the local Commission.
“Regulation gives the industry clarity and protects consumers. Regulators will ensure that all cryptocurrency companies have adequate standards for the protection of investors and their funds, ”said Luno representatives.
Recall, the Malaysian Securities Commission was given the authority to regulate the industry in mid-January, when the law on cryptocurrencies and digital tokens came into force . We note, he actually equated them with securities.
