The Government of the Russian Federation and the state corporation Rostec on Wednesday, July 10, signed an agreement of intent for the development of technologies of the distributed registry in the country. This was reported on the official website of the President of Russia.
Agreements with Rostec, as well as several other large corporations that will be engaged in the development of high-tech areas, were concluded in the framework of Vladimir Putin’s instructions given to them during the May meeting on the development of technologies in the field of artificial intelligence.
“I would like to emphasize once again: the global competition for the future technologies possession has already developed, you can see it well … In turn, the state in our case will provide the partner companies with all the necessary assistance for the development of high-tech areas and support. We are talking about both financial and tax instruments, as well as creating a comfortable regulatory environment, including flexible experimental legal regimes, ”said the President of the Russian Federation.
In addition to the development of the blockchain, Rostec will also work on 5G communications, developing solutions in the field of quantum sensors and the Internet of things (IoT).
“The documents signed today provide for the elaboration of specific measures aimed at creating and promoting digital products in four areas. Together with the state, developers, manufacturers, the investment community, practical steps will be determined, the result of which will be the widespread introduction of these technologies into the life of the country, ”said Alexander Nazarov, deputy head of Rostec.
Recall that in May, Rostec, together with Waves and the Novosibirsk Institute of Software Systems, presented a preliminary roadmap for the development of the blockchain in Russia as part of the state program Digital Economy.
According to preliminary estimates, the implementation of distributed registry technology in state systems may require up to 85 billion rubles.
Later, the roadmap was completely online. In it, among other things, the authors of the document assess the risks associated with the introduction of blockchain into the economy of the Russian Federation. BlockchainJournal did a brief analysis of the main ones in a separate article .
