The FSB National Coordination Center for Computer Incidents (NCCTC) received the right to separate the domains of sites that, according to the agency, violate the law. This will actually allow the FSB to block sites until a court decision, Kommersant reports.
Thus, the publication indicates that the NCCTC has become one of the members of the .ru / .rf Domain Coordination Center and has received the right to contact domain registrars with a request to terminate their delegation.
Domain separation is different from blocking sites through a court decision and Roskomnadzor, and, therefore, allows you to much faster restrict access to a particular resource.
“The NCCTC will be engaged in identifying phishing resources, sources of malicious software, monitoring the activity of botnets and other attacks using Russian national domains,” said the Director of the Coordination Center Andrey Vorobyov.
In addition to NCCA, the Coordination Center has nine organizations, including private companies, such as Kaspersky Lab and Group-IB, and government regulators, including Roskomnadzor and the Bank of Russia.
It is worth noting that, despite the fact that the measure for the separation of the domain is not spelled out in Russian law, it is provided for by an agreement with the registrar, which is signed by any company.
Recall that earlier Kaspersky Secure Connection started blocking Internet resources entered into the registry of information prohibited in the Russian Federation.
