The South Korean giant LG is supposedly going to release smartphones with support for blockchain technology. It is reported by The Block with reference to the local edition of Chosun.

To date, the company has completed a market research on blockchain companies and decentralized applications (dApps).

“LG is likely to respond to Samsung’s innovative initiative,” a source familiar with the situation writes.

The company’s interest in blockchain became known in the summer – in July, the corporation started registering the ThinQ Wallet trademark, which includes the “software computer platform for the blockchain”, “mobile electronic wallet for cryptocurrencies” and “payment application for mobile phones”. At the same time, LG already uses the ThinQ trademark in the G7 + smartphone.

Recall that last week there was information that Samsung, the eternal rival of LG, will release a version of Galaxy Note 10 with a built-in cryptocurrency wallet and dApps.
