The State Duma Committee on Information Policy proposes to allow the transfer of Russian Internet traffic only with the help of domestic encryption tools. According to RBC, such amendments are planned to be made to the draft law on isolation of the RuNet.
It is assumed that the encryption tools used by the organizers of the dissemination of information (ARI) and state information systems must be approved by the government.
The registry of ORI, which is maintained by Roskomnadzor, now contains more than 170 companies, including Yandex, Telegram, Sberbank, Mail.Ru Group, Opera, WeChat, Vimeo.
Experts believe that the massive use of Russian cryptography will allow law enforcement agencies to decipher all Russian Internet traffic, which are required to keep communication operators and organizers of information dissemination.
It is noteworthy that foreign researchers have already criticized two Russian cryptographic standards – “Grasshopper” and “Stribog”, developed by the Center for Information Protection and Special Communication of the FSB with the participation of the company InfoTeKS.
Thus, cryptographer Leo Perrin from the University of Luxembourg reported on some of the hidden features of these algorithms, which may indicate specifically vulnerabilities.
Recall that in March it became known that the costs of implementing the requirements of the draft law on isolation of the RuNet increased to 30 billion rubles . And, most likely, this is not the final amount.
