Leading payment processing BitPay has blocked the transfer of $ 100,000, designed to save the Amazon rainforest from fires. Amazon Watch, a regional support organization, drew attention to the problem.
@BitPay @BitPaySupport a donor, no doubt upset about horrific #AmazonFires tried to donate $ 100,000 to our account today and it was rejected as too high. We want to reach out to this person to resolve this issue, but have no way to do so. We need your help, ASAP. Thank you.

“The donor, undoubtedly thrilled by the terrifying fires in the Amazonian forests, tried to transfer $ 100,000 to our account today, but the payment was declined on the pretext that it was too large,” Amazon Watch writes.
Representatives of BitPay promised to check whether they can contact the philanthropist, and advised Amazon Watch to increase the payment limits in the service settings.
In response, Amazon Watch reported that they tried to do this, but received a notification that additional verification was required. Its service was introduced in the middle of the month for both incoming and outgoing cryptocurrency payments.
Fires in the Amazonian forests have been ongoing for the third week. Experts say forest destruction threatens the future ecosystem of the planet.
Recall that earlier in August, BitPay suspended operations in Germany due to tightening regulation of the cryptocurrency industry.
