A resident of Cherkessk was the victim of cryptocurrency fraudsters, having lost almost two million rubles. It is reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Karachay-Cherkessia.
The victim wanted to purchase cryptocurrency via the Internet, for which he contacted a “analyst of a clearing company”. Grief-investor told the scammer "codes and account numbers of two of their bank cards", in which the total amount was 1 million 922 thousand rubles.
However, the operation for the exchange of funds for cryptocurrency was not made, and the money was not returned.
Circassian turned to law enforcement agencies, which have already begun the inspection.
At the same time, residents of the Karachayevo-Cherkessia Ministry of the Interior warned of the risks of transferring confidential information to outsiders.
Recall that in April, the Kirovsky District Court of Kazan issued a verdict in a Bitcoin fraud case – the attackers disguised as policemen extorted cryptocurrency from its owners.
