So, according to CoinMarketCap, on Tuesday, July 16, the bitcoin index of dominance rose to 66.7%. This was a record since April 24, 2017, when this value was 66.55%.

The last peak of the index of the dominance of the first cryptocurrency was recorded on December 8, 2017 and amounted to 66.52%.
We also note that the Ethereum cryptocurrency second in terms of capitalization today accounts for 8.43% of the market, the token XRP occupying the third place in the CoinMarketCap rating is 4.63%. The total capitalization of the cryptocurrency market is $ 286.65 billion.
Recall that last week Mark Mobius, a well-known investor and founder of Mobius Capital Partners, who had previously held a rather skeptical position regarding cryptocurrency, said that if Bitcoin continues to grow, he may end up investing in it.
At the time of publication, the first cryptocurrency is trading at around $ 10,780, rising by 4.5% in the last 24 hours.
