Coinnest, a cryptocurrency exchange based in South Korea, has announced it has stopped working. The corresponding statement is posted on the official website of the platform .
Bidding will be terminated on April 30, and customers of the exchange will be able to withdraw their funds until June 30.
The decision to close at Coinnest was explained by the fact that the site “could not cope with changes in blockchain and cryptoindustry”.
In turn, local cryptoexperts suggest that the platform could have taken such a step because of the prosecution of the exchange’s executives.
Recall that last year they were accused of receiving a bribe in exchange for a listing of cryptocurrencies.
Already in January of this year, due to the “error in the system,” Coinnest sent its users about $ 5.3 million in bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies, and then asked to return these funds.
