Vladimir Putin: bills on cryptocurrency in the Russian Federation must be adopted before July 1, 2019

Russian President Vladimir Putin has set specific deadlines for the legislative regulation of the cryptocurrency market in Russia. The corresponding order is published on the official website of the Kremlin.

Regulations for the regulation of the digital economy in Russia should be prepared and adopted during the spring session of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, but no later than July 1, 2019.

In particular, we are talking about federal laws “determining the procedure for conducting civil law transactions in electronic form, as well as providing for the regulation of digital financial assets and the attraction of financial resources using digital technologies”.

Note that the spring session of the State Duma of the Russian Federation lasts from January 8 to July 28, 2019.

Earlier, BlockchainJournal reported that the State Duma will postpone consideration of the bill “On digital financial assets” to the spring session of 2019 . By this time, the package of documents on cryptocurrency regulation should be finalized by representatives of the scientific and business community .
