According to the data of the analytical company DataLight, the largest number of users of the leading cryptocurrency exchanges account for traders from the United States, while their colleagues from Russia and Ukraine are represented in much smaller proportions.

The largest number of US users – 60.1% – on the Coinbase platform, at Binance, Bittrex and Poloniex, the figures were 24, 27 and 28 percent, respectively.

Significantly fewer traders from the USA – only 10% – are represented on the Bitfinex exchange. The leader in terms of the number of users on this exchange is Germany, from where 13.5% come.

As can be seen from the graph, users from Russia are active on such exchanges as Poloniex (10%), as well as Binance and Bitfinex – 6% each.

At the same time, Ukrainian traders outperformed Russian at Bitfinex – 6.5%, but much less of them are represented at Poloniex – 4.9%.

Data DataLight, however, is unlikely to give a complete picture of this market segment. For comparison, in December, the specialists of the Belarusian marketing agency BDCenter published data on the 30 most popular exchanges , according to which the largest number of users of these platforms is based in the USA, Russia and China.

Recall, according to the December report of the Cambridge Center for Alternative Finance, the number of verified users of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies in the first three quarters of 2018 increased by 80% .
