Turkey will create a national blockchain platform

Turkish authorities have announced the creation of a national blockchain infrastructure, within which the technology will be implemented in public administration. The Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology outlined the relevant plans as part of the presentation of “Strategy 2023” .

Next year, blockchain will become a priority for Turkey. In the presented strategy, the agency refers to the Startup Genome study, according to which blockchain is the fastest growing technological trend.

An open blockchain platform will be created in Turkey. Initially, its capabilities are tested on the registration of land and academic certificates.

The ministry also intends, in close connection with other departments, to launch a “regulatory sandbox” for testing blockchain applications.

Recall, according to a Statista survey , every fifth resident of Turkey used or owns cryptocurrency.
