The Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation will discuss the regulation of cryptocurrencies

Digital Financial Assets Bill Done. It will be considered at a meeting with Finance Minister Anton Siluanov as early as next Wednesday, September 18. This was stated by the head of the State Duma Committee on the financial market Anatoly Aksakov, Rossiyskaya Gazeta reports.

Judging by his words, the authorities still have not decided on the cryptocurrency market regulation vector:

“In principle, in order to deploy it [vector] in one direction or another, we need a maximum of two weeks. That is, when making a decision in either direction, we can prescribe something that either legalizes the relevant institutions or prohibits them, ”Aksakov noted.

The adoption of the bill has been postponed several times due to the lack of a unified position of the authorities. In July, Aksakov said that the document could be adopted by October.

Recall that Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev instructed the Ministry of Finance and the State Duma to do this before November 1.

The other day, he also said that the regulation of the digital industry should be carried out through a set of regulations and market participants themselves should determine the standards.
