The platform for democracynotary.org was tested during a recent referendum in Macedonia on the issue of approving a treaty with Greece, which involves changing the name of the country. Its task was to notarize public reports on the referendum process in order to provide verified official documents and protect the authenticity and integrity of statements in the light of the spread of misinformation.
“Manipulating facts is one of the most common problems of modern society. Together with our partners, we developed a solution on the Emercoin blockchain, designed to protect the integrity of documents used in the course of events like a referendum in Macedonia. The system has all the advantages of decentralized technologies: high security, transparency and trust, ”said Konstantin Bigus, Emercoin managing partner.
The developed solution is universal and can be used in the course of other events requiring the publication of important data, the falsification of which can lead to distrust of state organizations. Its main components will be publicly available.
