DigiByte is testing a new algorithm to counter ASIC-miners

Published

on

DigiByte developers have announced that they are testing a mining algorithm, which is reconfigured every ten days.

“We are proud to announce that we are testing the mining technology of the new generation. Imagine a mining algorithm that migrates itself every 10 days? No ASIC can be created for it. ”

Thus, the developers are convinced that the introduction of such an algorithm will contribute to greater decentralization of the DigiByte network.

Earlier, BlockchainJournal reported that hardfork took place in the Siacoin network , designed to resist mining on ASIC devices, which contributes to the concentration of power and harms decentralization.
