Diar notes the increase in the uniformity of Bitcoin hash rate distribution among pools
The crypto research company Diar has presented a new report, which notes an increase in the distribution of hash capacities among the mining pools of BTC cryptocurrency.
The report from Diar notes that the share of previously unknown miners increased from 6% at the beginning of last year to 22% by the end of 2018. Over the past two months, small mining pools accounted for about 23% -24% of the hash rate. The share of small pools in the total amount of computing power doubled compared with the figures that were relevant at the beginning of last year.
In the report, Diar analysts point out that while the distribution of the hash rate is a positive event in terms of confronting the crypto community with coordinated attacks, the number of mining pools continues to decline. So, we can say that, compared with the beginning of 2018, 40% of pools have ceased their activities.
Recall that recently Diar researchers wrote that in April the average commission on Bitcoin transactions increased by 200% compared with March.
