Coinmetrics: Bitcoin network has demonstrated a record low activity over the past six months.
Coinmetrics analysts rated the activity in the main Bitcoin network over the past six months. So, from June to November 2018, only 25% of all bitcoins moved. The last and only time such indicators were recorded in the period from May to October 2015, when only 24% of bitcoins were active.
Interestingly, the 6 month period since 2010, with only 25% of the BTC active in that period. Only the 6 month period ending Oct. 2015 was lower with 24% of supply active.

In Coinmetrics explained that historically within 12 months from 40% to 70% of bitcoins are active, and for half a year this figure ranges between 25% and 60%.

Note that in the period from June 2017 to June 2018, activity in the Bitcoin network reached a maximum in absolute terms – 10 million BTC. However, in relative terms, 2012 remains the champion – then 67% of bitcoins were active.
In nominal terms, the number of BTC in June of 2018 is taken in 12 months, at just over 10m (out of 17.5m possible). But in relative terms, 2012 was the most active period, with 67% of supply moving in a 12 month period (see above) pic.twitter.com/oiL2mpceph

Recall, in another study CoinMetrics states that the indicators of the first cryptocurrency are not subject to seasonality.
