According to the developers, faster transaction processing was made possible by increasing the amount of storage device working on the Raspberry Pi 4 and SSD driver by 1 TB to 4 GB (in the previous version, this figure was 1 GB), as well as the launch of a completely new version of NodeOS.
“The original node from Casa did a great job as a reliable and easy-to-use device for Bitcoin and Lightning. But we wanted more, and for this we needed to improve the hardware, ”the company writes.
Another “feature” of Casa Node 2 was the native support of BTCPay Server – bitcoin processing with a self-hosting function, with which users can accept payments without third parties.

At the same time, the company reports that the cost of the Gold Package for Casa Node 2 will be $ 399. This price tag, however, applies only to new customers – for existing users, the previous price of $ 300 is maintained. This amount includes the supply of new devices and all future upgrades.
Recall that earlier this year, the creator of the Litecoin cryptocurrency, Charlie Lee, invested in Casa.
