The Bitrefill mobile services recharge service that promotes the Lightning Network technology has raised $ 2 million in investments, CoinDesk reports.

"We intend to continue to offer new services to the market based on the Lightning Network and cooperate with a large number of Bitcoin- related companies ," said John Carvalho, director of public relations with Bitrefill.

To date, the amount of venture investments attracted by a startup is $ 2.4 million.

Recall that Bitrefill and ACINQ recently launched a Lightning Network (LN) channel with a capacity of 1 BTC.

Also at the beginning of the year, Bitrefill introduced the Thor service , which provides the ability to open an LN channel from a startup node. This allows anyone to receive Bitcoins through Lightning channels, having only a link and a wallet application.
