Bitcoin has become one of the most popular requests to Google, Google Trends statistics

The recent and rather unexpected rise in the price of Bitcoin has stirred up the cryptocurrency market. The list of popular search queries Google has also changed, it is obvious that the excitement spread to other markets, as today Google tracked more than 50,000 queries on the word "bitcoin".

At the time of this writing, the bitcoin query has become the second most popular search term on Google – in the United States alone there were more than 50,000 queries. In the first place was the movie “The Avengers: tickets to the endgame” – 100,000 hits, and the third was Astigmatism, with more than 20,000 requests.

In addition, according to Google Trends, today searches for the word Bitcoin increased at about 5:52 am, with Nigeria becoming the leading region for this indicator, and South Africa ranked second. The Netherlands, St. Helena and Austria close the top five.

At 7:28 in the morning there was a colossal surge of requests, peaking at 100. For comparison, the largest altcoins of Ethereum, XRP and Litecoin showed 4, 4 and 2, respectively.

If you look at the popularity of the search query “Bitcoin” for the last week, then the highest level of popularity at 62 was observed on March 27th.

Other requests, for example, “a bitcoin surge,” showed an increase of 800%, while the phrase “sec bitcoin” after the April Fool's joke about the approval of bitcoin-ETF increased by 350%.
