The Coinmama cryptocurrency service, with about 1.3 million active users, reported a data breach due to a security breach.
According to the company's official statement, hackers may have 450,000 email addresses of Coinmama users. Also, representatives of the exchanger noted that their service was among the victims of a recent large-scale attack aimed at 24 websites with 747 million accounts.
The company is confident that on February 15, the stolen data could be in the darknet. At the same time, only part of the data suffered – accounts registered before August 5, 2017.
“Our security team is investigating. Based on the information available, we believe that the number of accounts affected by the attack is limited to 450,000 , ”says the Coinmama blog.
